RONALD NELSON Obituary

Ronald Keith Nelson

Ronald Keith Nelson, affectionately known as Ron was born on May 5, 1985 to the
late Salona Nelson and Jerome Moorman in Miami, Florida. Ron grew up in
Miami- Dade county and received his formal education through the public school
system. He graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School.
After graduating Ron developed a passion for cooking and through hard work he
enhanced his culinary skills, which encouraged his career as an Executive Chef in
various culinary and family entertainment venues. He was instrumental in training
new employees and helped kickstart many new culinary businesses. His passion
and culinary skills allowed him to travel and see the world.
In 2018, Ron rekindled his relationship with his high school sweetheart, Tarshe. It
was evident that they were in love and committed to one another. On September
14, 2021, the two became one. Ron was an amazing husband, and although there
were no children to their union, Ron fathered her children as his own.
He was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! He was fearless and
independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. His strength and
perseverance undoubtedly helped him deal with life’s challenges.
Today as we sit and remember Ron, we remember his heart that he shared with his
friends and family. He was truly generous and was a listening ear to many. Ron
has counseled, supported and provided kind words of encouragement to family and
friends. Losing him is a tremendous loss because he meant so much to so many.
He will be deeply missed and cherished forever.
On March 25, 2024, Ron was called home by his Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by many family members. He leaves a legacy of love
and memories with his loving and devoted wife, Tarshe; two children Tayla and
Dartavis Ponder Jr. A mother in-law, Tisby Montgomery; two siblings: Aerial
Wilson (Brandyn Wilson), Brandon Nelson. Five sisters in-law and seven brothers
in-law. Aunts; Gloria Copeland (Edwin Copeland), Sandra Copeland, and a special
aunt Irene Nelson (Bobby Smith); three great aunts: Rejeseice Bonhart of
Covington, GA, Rose Moorman and Marian Smith; one great uncle, Theodore
Trotter, one god daughter: Carey Farber and a host of special relatives and loving
friends.
