RASAAD TERRELL SAWYER

Our dearly beloved Rasaad Sawyer was born January 24,2001 , in Miami fl to the proud
parents of Ms.Tammy Sawyer and Mr. Booker Witherspoon. He was raised in Coconut
Grove where he received his early childhood education at Frances S.Tucker Elementary
School. Radar continues his education at Ponce De Leon Middle School and graduated
from Coral Gables Senior High School in 2019. 

At a young age Rasaad was introduced to Christ, he joined and become a member of
True Life Faith Tabernacle in Coconut Grove under the leadership of Pastor Hannah
Brooks and Rev. Patricia Godbolt. His knowledge of Jesus Christ as his Savior and his
unconditional love was solidified through his involvement in his activities and services. 

“Tounk” as he was affectionately known was a gentle genuine soul always
laughing,giving out hugs and being a leader and teacher amongst his peers. At the age
of two Tounk took a liking to sports specifically wrestling and football. He loved
everything about these two sports however football won him over. All throughout his
childhood football was his highly admiration. He played Little League optimist football for
Coconut Grove Knight Riders and Tamiami Colts moving up to high school football for
Coral Gables Senior High. He was an exceptional player all years playing football up
until graduating high school. Then went on to further his education and football career at
Co-Lin University. 

Rasaad moved along into the working field after graduating working for JT Thorpe Inc.
Local union 1652 operating as a contractor. 

As a young man of different talents our beloved enjoyed mostly football, a good home
cooked meal from his special person and Mother Tammy and making other people
smile. He can light up any room with his gentle jokes and his mellow tone. Many can

attest to his warm personality and joyous aura, along with the support that he offered in
their moments of joy and despair.
On the day of March 5,2024 Rasaad quietly exchanged time for eternity as he was
called home to be with The Lord. Though he will be missed greatly by family and friends
we know his influence will be remain in the minds and hearts of those he encountered.
We will never forget the radiance of his smile, the infectious of his giggles and the
gentle genuine hugs. 

In Gods loving care, Rasaad leaves to cherish his memories, his Parents Tammy
