LEVONE GIBSON

Levone Gibson, born September 28, 1951, in Miami Florida to Ernest and Irene Gibson. She was the fifth
of eight children. She was raised and educated in Miami, Fl. She was affectionately known as “Sister” to
her family and friends. Sister was the mother of 8, grandmother of 22, and great grandmother of 2. Levone, a single mother
faced many challenges throughout her life, and despite adverse circumstances she managed to
successfully raise eight children and then continued to play an active role in helping to raise many of her
grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor, her bubbly personality would light up a room, and even
if you met her just in passing she always had a smile on her face and would spontaneously spark up
conversations with others. She made those around her feel loved and welcomed. She was well known in
her neighborhood and community, she would often go out of her way to visit and comfort those that
were sick and those in the hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gathering around the
table and enjoying a good meal, having fun, dancing, and laughing.
Levone is preceded in death by her father and mother Ernest and Irene Gibson, her brothers
Samuel Gibson and Willie Baker and great grandson Zachariah Vil.

She leaves behind to continue her memory and legacy:

Daughter Erica Gibson Grandson: Ivan Granddaughter: Emmoni
Daughter: Angela Daniels (Michael) Grandsons: Jeremiah and Jessiah
Granddaughters: Destiny, Dominique, and Dynasty
Great granddaughter: Nyleen Son: Javon Gibson
Sisters: Ira Mae Williams (Tucker), Janet Hightower, Barbara Ann Gibson
Brothers: Joe Gibson (Dovie) and Ernest Baker Jr.
She leaves behind to continue her memory and legacy:
