Ronald Freeman Pyles, affectionately called "Peanut" by his father, was born in
Miami, Florida on October 28, 1959. Ronald received his wings and departed this
life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the University of Miami hospital. Ronald
was the 3 rd son of Freeman Pyles and Willene Daniels Pyles. He attended Charles
R. Drew Elementary School and Charles R. Drew Middle School for his early
education and graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School in the
Class of 1977. He was a proud and devoted Bull and a lifelong supporter of the
Blue and Gold.
Ronald was a gifted artist and attended Florida State University for a short time as
an Art major. Upon returning to Miami, Ronald worked as a warehouseman for
several companies. His last employer was Allied Universal Chemical Company.
He worked there for several years until his health failed and he was no loner able
to work. He was a very devoted father, and his employment allowed him to
provide for his children and ensure their well-being.
Ronald was a proud father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his
father Freeman Pyles and his daughter Sharita Harris. He leaves to mourn his
untimely departure his life partner of 40 years, Gail Harris; his mother, Willene
Daniels Pyles of Miami, FL; one sister, Sharon L. Paulk of Boston, GA, five
brothers: Michael A. Pyles of Richmond, VA, Craig R. Pyles of Miami, FL,
Dwayne W. Pyles (Grace) of Miami, FL, Keith V. Pyles, of Richmond, VA, and
Daryle L. Pyles, of Villa Rica, GA; two sons Antonio Pyles of Miami, FL, and
Rashad Harris of Miami, FL; eight grandchildren: Saheim Pyles of Miami, FL,
Yamaria Pyles, Ayana Pyles, and Ameria Pyles all of Miami, FL, Brianna Harris
and Jameel Harris of Miami, FL, and Roscoe Singletary, Jr., and Ra'Nijah
Singletary of Pompano, FL; two Godchildren, Dawayne Davis of Miami, FL and
Quanisha Ellison of Miami, FL; one aunt, Geneva Daniels of Newark, NJ, two
uncles Willie C. Daniels and Burford Daniels (Dorothy) of Miami, FL; a host of
nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, and one devoted
caregiver, Joan T. Pyles of Tamarac, FL.
