Obituary

I made the life story even smaller:

Patricia Ann Gaulden, affectionately known as "Treal" or "Grandma," was born on May 13, 1956, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Gwendolyn Gaulden and Andrew Rainey. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Seaborn Copeland, who shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Patricia and her family moved to Miami, Florida, where they settled in Overtown's close-knit community. During her teenage years, they relocated to the Gwen Cherry Projects, where Patricia formed lifelong bonds and made lasting impressions on everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Patricia was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her beloved daughter, Carmel Delicien, and her five cherished grandchildren—Peyton Lundy (13), Justyn Lundy (13), Bryce Delicien (10), Xyla Delicien (9), and Grayson Delicien (7)—were the pride and joy of her life. She is survived by two aunts, Katie Holland and Mary Dozier (Willie Joe), her brothers Kenneth Gaulden, Seaborn Gaulden (LaTosha), and Stevie Gaulden (Pamela); her sister, Andrecia Gaulden; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, stepfather, and siblings, Sandra Faye Burts and Johnny A. Gaulden.

Patricia was known from a young age for her humor, quick wit, and strong work ethic. She had a natural entrepreneurial spirit, finding unique ways to support her family, from selling oil lamps, CDs, and radios to fragrance oils and cherished family photos. Her warmth and generosity made everyone feel like family, leaving a lasting impact on friends, neighbors, and customers alike.

Patricia dedicated over 35 years to Bell South/AT&T, where she earned admiration for her reliability and kindness. Her commitment to her career was matched only by her devotion to family and friends, always putting them first.

Deeply spiritual, Patricia rededicated her life to the Lord, finding peace and strength in her renewed faith. Her life was rich in love, laughter, and resilience, leaving a legacy of kindness and joy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
