Nathaniel
Thompson
Oct 20, 1970 — Sep 11, 2026
Broward
Nathaniel Paul Thompson, a man of profound love and vibrant spirit, fondly called "Nat", began his
life's journey on October 20, 1970, in Nassau, Bahamas. Born to Paul Earnest Thompson, and the
late Deborah Angela Thompson. After spending his formative years in Nassau, attending Uriah
McPhee Primary School and R.M. Bailey High School, 17-year old Nat relocated to Miami, Florida, to
pursue a degree in electrical engineering at Miami-Dade College. While there, fate stepped in when
he unexpectedly met the love of his life, Renee.
After two blissful years together, and at the age of 18 and 19 years old, Nat and Renee were married
on October 19, 1990, centering their union on biblical principles. From this faithful foundation, they
created and raised three beautiful daughters and were eventually blessed with six grandchildren,
cementing a lasting legacy.
A devoted man of God, Nat was a faithful member of faith Evangelistic Praise & Worship Center,
serving under the leadership of Apostle Daisy N. Jones. Ordained to the office of Deacon, he
dedicated himself to the ministry in every way possible. Nat wore many hats to support the ministry,
offering his talents as board member, as a treasurer, choir member, and videographer, among many
other roles. Through his tireless service and unshakeable commitment, he was truly a faithful asset to
the kingdom of God.
In addition to his service to God, Nat was also a remarkably hardworking and dedicated provider. At
just 19 years old, he began working at Denny's Restaurant as a busboy. His relentless work ethic
quickly became apparent, and he proudly worked his way up into management. Lacking the financial
means for bus fare in those early days, he did the next best thing: he faithfully rode his bicycle to work
every single day. This extraordinary dedication, Renee's father, the late Deacon Willie Jones, was
deeply moved by Nat's drive to succeed and his unwavering care of his family. As a token of his
respect and admiration, Deacon Jones gifted him a car, which Nat truly appreciated.
Over the course of a dedicated 35-year career, Nat poured his heart into his work. He absolutely
loved his job, but more importantly, he loved the people he worked with. Known as the boss that
everyone loved, Nat built genuine connections, forming deep bonds with colleagues who remain his
cherished friends to this day.
In his spare time, Nat found his greatest joy in the moments he shared with family. He loved shooting
the breeze and catching up with his dad over in the Bahamas, just as much as he loved playing
online video games with his nephew, Jr., and flying drones with his cousin, Jeffery. Whether enjoying
the comfort of traditional Bahamian cuisine, or simply sharing a joke, Nat's life was defined by the
laughter and love he brought to those closest to him.
