Mickey
Jackson
Jun 16, 1953 — Mar 18, 2026
Miami
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose
Under the heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
Of all beautiful things in life, the most beautiful is character, and he possesses a beautiful
character that is worthy of notice. A beautiful life is the fruit of a beautiful character and a
beautiful life. The highest tribute that can be paid to any man is that he is loved by his
fellowman.
On June 16,1953, the late Johnnie Jackson, Sr. and Lillie Ruth Jackson welcomed the birth of
their son Mickey Jackson. Mickey was one of eight children. Mickey was raised in a Christian
home by his parents.
Mickey was educated by Bethany Seven Day Adventist School and the Public School System of
Miami Dade County. Mickey was a graduate of Class of 1973 Miami Jackson Generals. After
graduation Mickey attended Lindsey Hopkins Vocation School where he studied to become a
draftsman. After graduation Mickey was hired by T-Square as a draftsman. As a young man
Mickey enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his childhood friends.
Mickey was a self-made man and had his own business as a handyman, and he was able to
repair anything that needed repair. Mickey continued until his health began to fail.
On March 18, 2026 at 7:50 p.m. at the University of Miami Medical Center, God in his infinite
wisdom, saw fit to send His chariot of fire to transition Mickey toa land where there would be
no more pain or troubles. Mickey’s brave spirit took flight and is now resting on God’s celestial
shores. We, the loved ones, friends and associates have gathered here today to pay our last
respects to his earthly body.
We are comforted in knowing that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
We thank God for the time that he has allowed Mickey Jackson to be with us and will always
remember his kind and loving ways. The things that he did to make us smile and we each will
hold precious memories from days gone by. Mickey leaves to mourn and cherish his memories
and continue his legacy are Daughters, Dionne Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, and Evie Scott of
Miami, FL., one granddaughter Latricia Taylor. Siblings: Johnnie Jackson (Gail), Curtis Jackson,
Kathleen McIntosh (Keith), Frank Jackson, Michael Jackson (Daisy), Brenda Jackson (Douglas
Little), and Tanya Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
