Obituary

Leonard Dixon was born October 12, 1963, in Miami, Florida to the late Roberta
Massey Brown and the late Charles Rozier. He started his education in the Miami Dade
County Public School system and continued his education in Pierce County in
Blackshear, Georgia. After graduating he became captivated with the future love of his
life, Lora Rhem. Leonard was so passionate about how he felt towards Lora that he
wanted her to become his wife. From this union three beautiful kids were born.
Leonard was employed with Rinker for 33 years. He proved himself to be a hard
worker and determined to provide for his family. He served several years as the
Vice-President of the United Steel Worker's Union on the job. He was dedicated and
definitely a strong leader. Leonard was a kind and passionate man, He looked out for
many and was well respected by many, There was nothing he wouldn't do for you if he
could. He would open his door to anybody that needed a meal or a place to stay. Every
week those who shared Leonard's love of dominoes would meet up, because he would
let anyone who wanted to play come and join in. If you love playing dominoes you
probably have played a game or two with Leonard.
Leonard lived his life enjoying every minute until his health caused him to take a

step back, even then he was still motivated and kept a lot of things to himself because
he didn't want to feel like a burden to anyone. If he was feeling bad he kept it to himself
unless you would drag it out of him. He was a very proud man.
He leaves us to cherish his memory, with his two daughters Rilanda Rhem,
Latessa Dixon (Jessica Dixon), two sons Leonard Rhem and Traiq Hall. Two grands
Kyrie Rhem and Prynce McNorton. His siblings: Dwayne Massey (Marchelie Massey),
Sebastian (Vicki Dixon), Sarah Evans (Gregory Evans), Berand Rozier (Wanda Rozier),
Charles Rozier Jr. Maryann Johnson, Hattie Dale Parker, Theresa and Lisa Oliver, and
a host of uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death is his loving wife Lora Dixon, his mother Roberta Massey
Brown, his father Charles Rozier Jr. His brothers Keith Rozier, Walt Rozier, and
granddaughter Shanyah Albert.
