James Errol Glover, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away
peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Miami, Florida, on June 23, 1954, James
was a proud graduate of Holy Redeemer Catholic School, where he built a strong foundation of
faith, values, and community.
James was preceded in death by his loving parents, Irvena Asgill and James Errol Glover Sr., as
well as his dear sister Irvena Bunkhorst. He is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
James is survived by his devoted wife, Bernice Glover, and his cherished mother-in-law, Ethel
Norwood. He leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss him dearly, including his
children: James Glover (Christine), Robert Glover, Ashley Glover, Antonio "Tony" Norwood
(Malika), Latoya Bradshaw (Anthony) and Ricky Norwood.
He is also remembered fondly by his siblings: Jan Errol Glover, Irene Glover Calhoun, and
Robert N. Prymus, and by his in-laws: Carla Baptiste, Cheryl Rogers (Theotis), and Levy
Norwood (Illya).
James was a proud grandfather to Antonio (Tony), Malik, Jessica, Jamease, Jameisha, Jamauri,
Semaj, Aaleysia, Auatumn, Jalaya, Legend, Antonio, Antwan, Asiah, and Lyric. He was also a
beloved uncle to Ennis Brinson and Elliot Brinson.
James's warmth, strength, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a
deep love for his family, a quiet wisdom that many turned to, and a spirit that could brighten any
room.
His legacy of love, loyalty, and resilience lives on in every life he touched.
