Obituary

James G. Davis, Sr., A.K.A. "JD," was born May 11, 1963, in
Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Betty J. Davis. James graduated from
Miami Northwestern High School. He was a faithful, devoted, loving
father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. More
importantly, there was nothing he would not do for his children. As
shown by his exceptional character, James spoke hopeful aspirations for
himself, his children, and his family.
James loved socializing with his family and friends. He was always a
joy to converse with; his company will be sorely missed. James's favorite
things to do were fishing, watching sports, and eating a good Sunday
meal as he laughed and enjoyed the presence of family and friends.
There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they
are gone, and James is one of them.
James was compassionate in his ways and loved by many people. If
you knew him and had him as a friend, he was not just a comrade for
the sake of the word but a true friend. He was an avid lover of football,
especially the Miami Dolphins. Win or lose; the Dolphins were still his
favorite team.
James believed in the Lord and called on him often. He trusted in the
power of God and shared the gospel tenaciously with those closest to
him. He believed "to be absent from the body is to be present with the
Lord." James's faith provides us with the greatest comfort now that
Heaven has welcomed a new male angel.
James leaves behind his children, James Davis, Jr., Jacinda Tyler,
Zachary Tyler, and his grandchildren, ___________. He is also survived
by his sister Tekia Davis and his nieces, Takoria Burton and Kimora

Poliard, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, close relatives, and
friends.
