On January 5, 1933, In Ridgeland, S.C a beautiful rose was born to Annie Mae and Wilson Rhett by the name of Irene Rhett. She was the fourth of nine children. Irene came from humble beginnings but the love of god was abundant in her home. Irene spent her childhood in Coosawhatchie, S.C Where she graduated from Jasper County High School. She went on to continue her education as a licensed beautician and later in life she transitioned into the medical field and became and Home Health Aid. where she retired from after 30 years. in 1965, she met the love of her life Robert Magwood, they married and from their reunion had five beautiful children. their home was always filled with love, which she expressed to her children while devoting her life to God, She was a living example of a devoted Christian. Through the love she had for god she was driven to become a Sunday school teacher at Parkway Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, FL. On July 9, 2022 the Lord called her home from pain and suffering. She was preceded in death by, Robert Magwood (Husband), Robert Magwood Jr.(son) 8 siblings Elizabeth Osgood Rhett, Wilson Rhett, Jr. Nathaniel Rhett, Jannie Rhett Smith, Gussiemae Mike, Martha rhett Jackson, Rosenia Burges, Alonso Simions, Jr, and a host of nieces, ewphews, cousins, extended family and friends. We will always keep the memory of such a remarkable woman in our hearts.
