The sun rose on March 27, 1960 and Gary Russell was welcomed into this world. On Dec 1, 2022, Gary took his final breath surrounded by his family. He lived a full and exciting life as an avid golfer, photographer and a fan of horse racing. Gary was a graduate of Dade County Public Schools and went on to further his education.  Gary achieved three Associate Degrees from Miami Dade College, a Bachelor Degree from Florida Memorial College,  he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and crossed as Ice Daddy. He went on to earn his Master Degree from St. Thomas University.

His last employment was with the City of Miami as a Computer Instructor at Hadley Park. There he taught computer literacy skills to all that wanted to learn. When he was on break he was often seen chatting with children about going to college and teaching them to play golf.

He is preceded in death by father Arlington Russell and survived by MOTHER: Martha J.  Russell; DAUGHTER: Kiyana Russell; Companion: Merise "BarbaraAnn" Ward; SISTERS: Michelle Russell-Sharrier,  Victoria Russell,  Rosalind Davis; BROTHER Gregory Russell; NEPHEWS Adon, Damien, Alten, Adwain, Darien, Gregory Jr, Quamir; NIECES Alieda,  Brittany,  Raven, Alexis and a host of relatives as well as friends too numerous to name.
Gary will be sorely missed and words can not truly express what Gary meant to us all. See you in the next life.
