Obituary

**Elijah Keith Williams, lovingly known as “Eli,” departed this life on April 25, 2026, at

the age of 39. He was born on August 28, 1986, in Miami, Florida.

Elijah was preceded in death by his mother, Barbar-ann Williams, his father, Harold

Fleming Jr., and his sister, Evangelia “Tameka” Williams. At the age of 11, Elijah was

lovingly raised by Patricia Smith-Woods, whose care, guidance, and love helped shape

his life.

He received his education within the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. His

roots of faith began at Faith Evangelistic Praise and Worship Center under the

leadership of Apostle Daisy N. Jones. And continued at Rehoboth International Faith

Center under the leadership of Sheena Gooden. Where subsequently Elijah grew a deep

passion for music and loved playing the drums. His love for music was more than just a

talent. It was part of who he was. His rhythm, his energy, and his love for the drums will

forever live on in the hearts of those who looked up to him.

On December 4, 2020, Elijah K. Williams united in holy matrimony with the love of his

life, Claudette Obssaint Together they built a bond rooted in love, loyalty, faith, and

family. Their union was blessed with two beautiful children, who became the center of

Elijah’s world. He was a devoted husband and loving father who worked tirelessly to

provide, protect, and create lasting memories with his family. Though his time on earth

was far too short, the love he shared within his marriage and family will continue to live

on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Elijah was a man full of life, laughter, love, and unforgettable energy. He had a warm

spirit and a great personality that could light up any room he walked into. Elijah had a

gift for being the life of the party without even trying. His laughter, his jokes, his

presence, and the way he connected with people made everyone around him feel

welcomed and loved. He cherished spending time with his family and created many

joyful memories through family gatherings and game nights. One of his favorite

pastimes was playing spades, where his competitive yet fun-loving spirit always shined.

Elijah also loved cooking and sharing meals with the people he cared about. Anyone

close to him knew his mustard fried chicken had a reputation of its own. Whether

through music, food, laughter, or just being present, Elijah had a special way of bringing

people together. especially for a game of spades. He was the kind of person who could

turn an ordinary moment into something meaningful. His personality was big, his heart

was full, and his love for his family and friends was real.

Elijah had a natural protective spirit for the people he loved. He carried himself with a

strength that made others feel safe around him. He was loving, loyal, and dependable in

his own way. If he loved you, you knew it. His presence brought comfort, his laughter

brought joy, and his heart left a lasting mark on everyone blessed to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Claudette Obssaint, their children,

E’liyah Starr Williams and Elijah Keith Williams Jr., children from a previous union,
