Obituary

*Eddie Charles Reed*

*January 3, 1985 – [Date of Passing]*

_A Time to Be Born_

Eddie Charles Reed was born January 3, 1985, to parents Jessie Merle Reed and George Williams, who both preceded him in death. Eddie was the youngest of seven children and was raised in a home filled with love, laughter, and family. He was affectionately known as “E,” “Jason Black,” and “Pimp Tight” to those closest to him.

_A Time to Live_

Eddie attended Tacolcy, Thena Crowder Elementary, Lilly C. Evans Elementary, and Charles R. Drew Middle School before continuing his education through homeschooling. He had a passion for drawing, gaming, roller skating, skateboarding, fishing, painting, and simply being with family and friends. He also took pride in his work.

In 2007, Eddie welcomed his only daughter, Shantearia, lovingly called “My Baby,” whom he cherished deeply. He made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Eddie was known for his enchanting smile, his sharp sense of style, and for always smelling good.

_A Time of Faith_

Eddie was raised in Dayspring Missionary Baptist Church, where his gentle spirit was nurtured.

_A Time to Remember_

Eddie leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory: his daughter, Shantearia Reed; two stepchildren he loved dearly, Trevon Johnson and Emily Westberry; and a devoted family of siblings: Mary Ann Reed, who preceded him in death, Eric Reed (Vanessa), Derrick Reed, Joyce Reed, Rena Williams, Elizabeth Reed, Daryl Williams, Lachanze Williams, Gloria Williams, Rita Handsford, Ruthie Mae (Walter), LaTonya Williams, and Geordine Williams. He is also survived by his godbrother, Frederick King Jr.; his uncles Bobby and William (Willie-Mae); his aunt Pauline Reed; and his crew: Toiya (Ride or Die), Dee ( Partner in Crime) Mac (Brother), Myesha (Auntie), and Kay Kay (Headache). He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends — all of whom shared a special bond with him.

Though Eddie’s earthly journey has ended, his life, love, and legacy will live on in every memory, every laugh, and every heart he touched.
