Anthony Benard
James
Oct 11, 1966 — Sep 9, 2024
Anthony Bernard James, born on October 11, 1966, in Miami, Florida,
to Connie Lee James Jr. and Ella Mae James, was the cherished firstborn
of their family. He was a son, a caring brother, an uncle, nephew and
cousin to many. Anthony's education was shaped by the Miami Dade
County Public Schools System, where he attended Lorah Park
Elementary, Miami Springs Middle, Miami Springs Senior High,
and D.A. Dorsey Technical College.
Anthony was raised in a Christian home. He attended Sunday school and
church services with his father and mother and grew into manhood from
a Godly foundation. He was a faithful member of St. Matthews
Missionary Baptist Church for many years under the leadership of
Reverend Phillip Clark Jr and Pastor Vincent Brown. He was a helpful
servant, always ready to volunteer in whatever capacity, when called
upon.
Anthony had a very jovial personality and loved to laugh and joke with
others. He was also very frank and always ready to speak his mind. On
any given day, you could find Anthony watching tv with his family,
while engaged in deep conversation, because he loved to talk. Most of
all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and eating a good
meal. We could always count on his attendance at every birthday or
special family celebration. Going forward, his absence will greatly be
felt. While his physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit will
certainly live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will
be forever missed.
On September 9, 2024, Anthony was called home by our Heavenly
Father, finding eternal peace.
He is survived by his loving parents, Connie and Ella James, his brother
Alvin James (Sharonda), and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nephews,
cousins, and friends who will treasure his memory.
