"In Loving Memory of Angela P. Gonzalez
January 7, 1954 – May 31, 2025
With full hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Angela P. Gonzalez, who passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 71 in Miami, Florida.
Born on January 7, 1954, in Bridgetown, Barbados, Angela brought warmth, wisdom, and joy to everyone she encountered. A devoted mother, accomplished educator, beloved partner, and cherished sister, aunt, and friend, Angela lived a life full of grace, laughter, and purpose.
Angela's passion for education touched countless lives. As a teacher, she nurtured not only young minds but whole hearts — inspiring students to learn, dream, and believe in themselves. Her joy was contagious. She loved to dance, to laugh, and to lift the spirits of those around her. Her Christian faith grounded her in love and service, and her compassion knew no bounds.
She is survived by her loving son, Marcelo Gonzalez; her devoted partner, Rolando Souffrain; her beloved sisters, Ophelia Manning, Janelle Als, and Schellyal Grant; her devoted brothers, Auburn Als, Andy Nicholls, Aldin Nicholls, and Tony Nicholls; her treasured nieces and nephews: Michelle Manning, Kyra Nicholls, Shanice Grant, Hannah Nicholls, Hope Nicholls, Jade Nicholls, Jamal Als, Julius Manning, Jamal Grant, and Courtney Nicholls; and her cherished grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Maliyah Nicholls, Zion Nicholls, Sienna Nicholls, Harlem Nicholls, Jamani Worrell, and Jaylan Als — along with many extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory forward.
A celebration of Angela's life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 650 NE 135th St, North Miami, FL 33161. All are warmly invited to attend and remember her joyful, generous spirit.
Angela will be remembered always for her radiant heart, joyful presence, and the lasting love she so freely gave. Her light lives on in all who were blessed to know her."
